2011 Featured Projects

Anchorpile has completed a number of commercial and landscape screwpile projects in regional South Australia in the first half of this year.

Factors such as a need to construct footbridges in environmentally sensitive areas, adjacent to and over water meant that Anchorpile’s specialist use of screwpiles for construction projects such as footbridges was well received.

The use of screwpiles in enabling existing commercial structures e.g. large pipelines and so on to be supported as part of a significant upgrade of operations, was a key factor in Anchorpile completing work at Whyalla for OneSteel.

So in addition to ongoing work in the domestic area – i.e. use of screwpiles for foundations and for some underpinning projects – Anchorpile has undertaken more projects in the commercial and landscape categories this year and expects to win more projects of a similar nature.

In the photos now uploaded in the ‘2011 featured projects’ section you will see good examples of the work Anchorpile has undertaken of this kind:

  • Screwpiles used in the construction of footbridges -  on Kangaroo Island and also at Strathalbyn;
  • Screwpiles used in remediation work undertaken for OneSteel at Whyalla.
